Bike Patrol Unit

The Wayland Police Mountain Bike Patrol has been a great form of community policing since 1997. The bicycle unit is utilized to patrol target areas and has the ability to respond to locations that a cruiser cannot. While the visibility and presence of bicycle police officers are a benefit to the community, one of the strongest enforcement aspects of the bicycle is the ability to approach crimes in progress without being seen or heard.
