Where is the Wayland Police Department located?

The Wayland Police Department is located in the Wayland Public Safety Building on the Northeast corner of the intersection of Rt. 27 & Rt. 20.  Parking for the Public Safety Building is off Millbrook Road, which is off of Rt. 27, just North of the intersection.

I need to apply for/renew my Firearms License, what should I do?

The Office of Firearms Licensing handles all (New and Renewable) permits.  These appointments are done on a bi-weekly basis between the hours of 3 pm and 7 pm. and times are subject to change.  To make an appointment, simply call the main number at 1-508-358-4721.  If you need special consideration, you may contact the office at the following email address mwilkins@waylandpolice.com to arrange an appointment. Once the appointment is made you must have the following documents with you.

If this is a new permit for an FID or License To Carry, you will need the following:

1.) Copy of the Basic Firearms Safety Course Certificate

2.) Application for License To Carry (Completed.) 

3.) Short letter addressed to Chief Robert Irving telling why you would like a Firearm      License.

4.) A Check made out to the Town Of Wayland in the amount of $100.00. 

 

If this is a renewal, you will need the following:

1.) Your previously issued permit

2.) Check made out to the Town Of Wayland in the amount of $100.00
