Wayland Senior's Page
Demographic information from the U.S. Census of 1990 clearly show that the fastest growing age segment of the United States are those citizens aged 50 or higher. Interestingly enough of that "age bracket", those living to 90+ years of age is the fastest growing segment of our population. Detailed reasons for this sudden rise is beyond the scope of this web page but click on the US Census of 1990 link above for this information.
Contrary to popular perception, this increase also indicates another fact that 80% seniors today are financially independent in that they own and live in their own homes and are considered financially independent. Unfortunately this rapid rise supports an opportunity for scam and con artists to target seniors in many ingenious ways.
At the bottom of this page are web site links that you can click and view for particular information that may be useful for others in our community.
