Dog Officer
The primary function of the Dog Control Officer pertains to the enforcement of the Dog Control Bylaw. The Wayland Dog Officer can be reached @ (508) 358-3625. The role of the dog officer is varied, but includes licensing, investigation of citizen dog complaints, dog and control law enforcement, and apprehension and impoundment of all stray and unleashed dogs found roaming at large. Animal Control Officer
The Animal Control Officer is appointed by the Board of Health and the Massachusetts (State) Division of Animal Health for the purpose of removing dead animals (raccoons, skunks, squirrels, cats, etc.) from public ways. Report to the Board of Health at 508-358-3617.
